DSL on Vacation
- Richard calls into the helpdesk. Complains his DSL isn't working. He needs to get it working so he can finish some work he has to do and that I should make this my top priority.
- I'm sorry Richard lets see what I can do for you, when did it last work for you?
- Yesterday before we left for Florida on vacation.
- If you're on vacation in Florida, how do you know your DSL is not working?
- Richard got more agitated at this question. "I plugged it in, turned it on, and it isn't working. The lights aren't blinking - what more do you need from me - just FIX IT!"
- Richard, did you take your DSL modem with you on vacation?
- "Duh, How else am I going to use it?"
